In the middle scene of the icon is Saint Anna reclining on her bed after giving birth. At her feet a midwife with a servant is holding the newborn child. At the top are two women bearing gifts to Saint Anna. On the right are Saint Anna and Saint Joachim embracing each other. On the left is Saint Joachim by him self.
