Christian, Orthodox icon of the Mother of God of Kazan.

The icon was painted in the second half of the 19th century, Mstera, Vladimir region, Russia.

Egg tempera, gold leaf, and gesso on wood panel, background and border with an openwork design imitating an enamel frame.

Condition: Very good condition, the author's painting is completely preserved, no restoration, there is darkening of the drying oil (varnish) on the paint layer, traces of time.

Provenance: The icon belonged to a USA private collection.

Икона писана темперой по сусальному золоту, левкас основа деревянная доска, фон и поля выполнены тиснением по левкасу, золочением и холодной эмалью , имитирующей дорогой оклад

Состояние: Очень хорошее, авторское письмо полностью сохранилось, имеется потемнение олифы (лака) на живописном слое, следы времени.

Происхождение: Икона происходит из частной коллекции США.
