A Gold Pectoral Cross, first half of the 19th century, Russia.

The cross is decorated throughout with a complex, highly artistic, openwork floral design with filigree. Additionally, seven gold grains created using the complex "Tula Diamond Cutting" technique are set into the field of the cross.

Considering the complexity of the workmanship and the non-standard design, it can be assumed that the cross was custom-made by a craftsman familiar with the "Tula Diamond Cutting" technique.

The finial bears the assay mark 56 (585/1000 gold) of the city of Petrograd, 1831-34, and the maker's mark "VF" Vasily Fedorov (P. L. #1254).

Condition: Excellent, with a temporary light patina on the gold.

Крест украшен сложным, высокохудожественным ажурным цветочным узором с филигранью. Кроме того, в поле креста вставлены семь золотых зерен, созданных с использованием сложной техники «Тульская алмазная огранка».

Учитывая сложность работы и нестандартный дизайн, можно предположить, что крест был изготовлен на заказ мастером, знакомым с техникой «Тульская алмазная огранка».

На навершии имеется пробирное клеймо 56 (585/1000 золота) города Петрограда, 1831-34 гг., и клеймо мастера «ВФ» Василия Федорова (P. L. No 1254).

Состояние: Отличное, с временной легкой патиной на золоте.
