AN ICON SHOWING THE MOTHER OF GOD OF THE SIGN Russian, late 18th century, Yaroslavl. Egg tempera, gesso on wood panel. The haloes made of gold leaf. Two selected saints on the borders: St. Nicholas of Myra left and and St. Martyr Jakob right.  Two splints on the top and bottom.

Condition: Partially restored. The background stripped to gesso.
