17th century, Russian icon of Kurskaya Mother of God, Central Region. Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood. Kovcheg, two splints in the back. Condition: Good. Originally the icon had a basma and halos, which is evident by the remaining stumps from the nails that were holding it. The borders of the icon were restored and cleaned. The background was slightly restored, nail holes covered. The images are original, was not restored.
