Russian ICON WITH SILVER-GILT OKLAD: THE KAZANSKAYA MOTHER, circa 1900 (icon), Russian, Moscow, Semen Galkin, 1896-1917 (oklads) Oil on wood panels with velvet backing. The silver-gilt oklads of both chased and engraved with scrolling foliate motifs in the Art Nouveau style. Marked with assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'SG' in Cyrillic.
