Mid 19th century, Moscow, Russia. Egg tempera, gesso on wood panel. Overlaid with silver-gilt chased and repousse oklad, held in glazed wood kiot. Hallmarked: Moscow, 1868, Imperial warrant and 84 standard (875/1000 silver), Cyrillic maker’s mark Ivan Zakharov.

Condition: The icon with some areas of loss of painting, and discoloration. The oklad with minor dings, primarily to the borders.
